Good people of our beloved Kingdom, gather round and listen. Let me tell you about Anastasia The Stubborn and “Unwanted Defeat of Creaking and Old Windmills Two Miles Frome Here”. Hear about Peter of the Frog Pond and “Truly Holy, Splendid, and Marvelous Rescue of Lost Kitten in Wastes of Abandoned Hope”. If you are brave enough, here's the story of Sir Podrick and “Rowdy and Romantic Penance for Beating Up Green Knight on the Moon (maybe it was a dream but flames were everywhere)”. These are tales about courage, sacrifice, and certainly about willingness. Maybe one day you'll tell me about your adventures. Anyone can become a Knight Errant, and the world needs them (or at least reasonable doses of their presence).

The Knights Who Say “Err!” is a solo journaling RPG about mistakes, youthful enthusiasm, crossing borders, mysterious places, living legends, a blue expanse filled with dragons and dreams, and – last but not least – making lengthy and surprising titles. You play as a Knight Errant, famed in a song and story. Or in anecdotes and wisecracks. Don't worry about it. Knight errant needs to err. This is the only way to find the right path.

You will need: dice (d6 and d20),  a pencil, paper, this booklet, and chivalry.

Good luck!

Made a character based on my teacher and sent him to defeat a dragon (that now thinks he's a gnome) with the power of logic. Best experience of my life!

One caveat maybe - more rules for story-to-story character progression could be really cool :3 Maybe in the form of some set of questions that produces a little phrase/description of the character state after one story that you need to incorporate to the title of the next story?

Overall - loved the game, will play more of it! Thanks for a fun evening!

Thank you so much for your comment. I'm glad you had a good time.

As for the character progression - I'm working on that right now and would love to use the idea you wrote about.

Please feel free to do so! Looking forward to see what you'll do with it <3

I love the concept and the title mechanics, this is very inspiring and promising! I miss more details though, i.e. how the modificators could affect the story itself or how the character could develop from adventure to adventure :)

Thanks! I'm glad you like the idea.

I assumed knights-errant were already epic champions like Gawain or Lancelot but in their own clumsy way. But you're right that it would make the game more interesting. I'll work on it.
