Desert Islands

Something happened. Maybe it was scary, sad, or simply plain. One thing is certain - it was unbearable. You had to leave your old life and disappear. You’d decided to take a job at the weather station in Île Vide, a lonely island halfway between Africa and Antarctica, where mysterious scientific experiments were once conducted. One morning, you discovered a strange device. Looking at his screen, you saw the second Île Vide. And the other you. You were not certain if it was a good idea but you made contact. The air seems electrified. Something might happen, or perhaps it already has.

Desert Islands is a letter-writing science fiction role-playing game about two lonely souls originating from increasingly different realities. Requires two participants and writing materials (paper, pencil, pen, word processor, e-mail, etc.) to play it. Alternatively, you can use voice recording software or websites. 

Desert Islands was also published on Fast Forward Jam (29 July 2023) in slightly different form and adapted to rules of One-Page Jam.
